Are each of the Villas private?
The Hacienda and Casa Del Sol are in the same building, separated by an atrium that divides the building in two. There is a privacy wall on the back deck. The villas feel just like private homes.The area around the Properties is very quiet and private.
What is the difference between the Hacienda Beach House and the Casa Del Sol?
Both Villas sleep six and have approximately the same floor space. Each Villa is uniquely deocrated and the floor plans are slightly different. The Casa Del Sol has two bedrooms upstairs. Sometimes families with small children like the Casa Del Sol because the kids are closer. The Hacienda has the master upstairs and the guest bedroom down. Families who have elderly travelers often like the Hacienda because the extra bedroom is downstairs. The Hacienda also has an additional romantic fire place in the master bedroom.
Is there Internet access in the Villas?
Boths Villas have Internet access. The Casa Del Sol has wireless access; The Hacienda Beach House has a CAT5 cable to connect to the Internet.
Does each Villa have its own hot tub?
Yes, there are separate hot tubs for the Hacienda Beach House and the Casa Del Sol. The hot tubs are completely separate and very private and each has a nice ocean view.
Is there beach access?
The Villas sit on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The cliff edge is approximately 50 feet from the house. The cliff is too steep to traverse. The walk to the beach is north down a quiet country road (10 minutes) or hop in the car, park, and be there is seconds.
Does each Villa have an ocean view?
Each property commands ocean views from the living room, dinning room, kitchen, master suite, back deck, hot tub and atrium.
Can we bring our family pets on vacation with us?
The Villas are pet friendly, however we ask that you “clean up” after your pet. The furniture is only for Human use. The pet fee is $25 per pet to regardless of the length of you visit. Please let us know if you are bringing a pet in advance or the security deposit of $300 will be retained.
Can we build fires on the beach?
In many places it is ok to have a fire on the beach as long as you keep it small and away from the driftwood. Check for signs at the pull outs and parking places that provide information on making fires.
Can we make long distance phone calls on the house phones?
The telephones do not allow you to call any long distance numbers. Please make sure you bring a calling card or a cell phone that works is the area.

Are there any supplies at the Villas?
The Villas stocks a little of everything from coffee, tea, sugar, flour, mustard, mayo to bleach, dish soap and laundry detergent.
Are there any laundry facilities?
Each Villa has a washer,dryer, iron and ironing board.
Are there any grocery stores nearby?
There are two grocery stores closeby, they are both located on 101 in Gold Beach. The stores are about 6-7 miles south of the Villas, right in the heart of Gold Beach. Look for Ray's or McKays.
Do you have baby cribs at the Villas? What about toys?
The Hacienda has one crib and one baby gate available for our guests. They are usually storedin the closet under the stairs. We also have an assortment of beach toys under the stairs. Please inquire about kid stuff for the Casa Del Sol.
What time is check-in?
Check-in time is 4pm. You are welcome to check-in early as soon as we have cleaned up after the previous guest. Just call or text one day ahead of your check-in day to see if an early check-in is available (760-521-9141).
What time is check-out?
Check-out time is 11am. You are welcome to ask for a late checkout. I can accommodate most late checkouts as long as I do not have another guest arriving the same day. The latest check-out time is 1pm.
Do we have to clean after our visit?
We just ask that you start the dishwasher to clean any remaining dishes before you leave. However, Faith my cleaning lady, loves it if you also start a load of laundry.
Is there any deposit required to make a reservation
The $300 deposit is required to hold a reservation date. If paying by credit card, your deposit will be rolled into the rental fee. By providing your credit card number, you agree that you card can be charge up to $300 to cover any damages (this rarely happens). If paying by check your deposit will be returned within 21 days of check-out.
Where can we get fresh seafood?
Fishermen Direct Seafood is located in the Cannery Building at the Port of Gold Beach. The address is 29975 Harbor Way. There phone number is: 888-523-9494.
Is there a fee for parking?
Parking is free; we hate it when you rent a room and have to pay extra for parking. Just park in the gravel area in front of the Villas. Please do not park right in front of the main entrance.
Can we park in the garage?
The Hacienda Beach House garage is not avaliable. Casa Del Guests can use the left side of the double garage if they desire. Please do not park right in front of the main entrance..
